Answering 30 Interesting Questions

I want to thank Priya for nominating me to answer these 30 interesting questions about myself! I hope all of you will enjoy these questions and read to the very end, coming up with answers for yourself too!

1 What are your nicknames? What do you prefer to be called?

I’ve had many nicknames, but the ones that have stuck are from my mum. I usually prefer my first name with my friends.

2 How often do you doodle? What do your doodles look like?

As much as possible. When I don’t have time to sketch, I just doodle on my notes during class. I doodle anything from flowers and little bunnies to mythical creatures and character designs.

3 What do you do if you can’t sleep at night? Do you count sheep? Toss and Turn? Try to get up and do something productive?

My insomnia keeps me up sometimes so I’ve gotten into a routine of mentally planning the next day or running through scenes of one of the novels I’m writing.

4 Do people consider you as talkative or quiet?

Quiet. *crickets chirping* However, I’m talkative with my closest friends and I generally try to be conversational.

5 What makes you cry?

Being in the presence of great beauty or overwhelming frustration, I guess. And, of course, stress, homesickness or not being able to fall asleep – college problems.

6 What is your biggest pet peeve?

It might take a while to rate all of them…but I generally won’t complain.

7 How many times a day do you look at yourself in the mirror?

That would depend on how many times I wash my hands…a lot?

8 What is the strangest thing you believed as a child?

I thought that vegans were just people who didn’t eat meat and dairy products. (I’m not a vegan, by the way 😛 )

9 What is one guilty pleasure you enjoy too much to give up?

I don’t usually indulge myself, but if I think of one, I’m gonna give it up for Lent.

10 Who performs the most random acts of kindness out of everyone you know?

Random acts of kindness usually go unpraised, so I’ll let that be. (Also, the only person I can think of in terms randomness is myself)

11 How often do you read the newspaper? Which sections?

I hate newspapers.

12 Which animal scares you the most?

Monkeys. I will never look them in the eyes.

13 Are you more likely to avoid conflict or engage it head-on?

Depends. I try not to create conflict in the first place.

14 What was the most recent compliment you’ve received?

That I was objectively pretty.

15 What question are you tired of hearing?

Yes, my curls are natural, and yes, my lookalike is actually my sister.

16 What is the strangest thing you have eaten?

An ant. It was bitter.

17 Do you have a whole lot of acquaintances or just a few very close friends?

Both. I choose my friends carefully, but I try to be nice and talk to other people too. You don’t have to make friends with everyone, but you should still be friendly.

18 Do you have a catchphrase?

I say ‘oh no’ a lot, but it’s more my tone that makes it unique.

19 What’s your all-time favorite town or city? Why?

I’ve been to a poor town near Bosnia in Europe before and it really captured me in every way.

20 If you had to change your first name, what would you change it to?

Ellie or Fawn.

21 When was the last time you lied?

Just now….ooo, a paradox!

22 What’s something that amazes you?

That everything good we believe is either true or an image of something even greater and everything bad we believe is either true or a distortion of something good.

23 Would you rather be the first person to explore a planet or be the inventor of a drug that cures a deadly disease?

Neither. I believe there are better ways than drugs to prevent diseases and no one is going to force me into space. But, honestly, if I could save people and harm no one, I would invent the drug, sure.

24 What is your favourite amateur activity?

Song writing. I’m glad the question specified amateur!

25 What was your first thought when you woke up this morning?

Why did I set my alarm this early?

26 What is your favourite song (at least at the moment)?

There are a few mixes I like to study and write to. But, to share my song preferences would be like sharing a secret.

27 List someone you know, and describe them in 5 words.

Uh…my best friend. She is compassionate, caring, cute, childish, crazy and dramatic.

28 You can select one person from history and have them truthfully answer one question. Who would you select and what would the question be?

That’s a hard question! There are so many things I want to know!

29 Which celebrity or artist do you resemble the most?

I want to say Taylor Swift, but isn’t that the answer of every blond? I don’t pay a lot of attention to famous people.

30 What do you want me to know?

That you should live life to the fullest and be happy.
